NUST Formula Student Team comprises of students from National University of Sciences and Technology. We conceive, design and fabricate a formula style race car to compete in one of the world’s most established engineering competition: Formula Student..
There are three major departments
The responsibility of the Fundraising and Corporate Affairs members is to secure sponsorship to facilitate the operations of our team.
The responsibility of the Social Media and Graphic Designing members is to plan and create attractive social media posts to catch the audience's attention, conduct in-depth social media research, develop and share various social media content like graphics and videos to optimize company website and social media pages.
The ultimate aim of ‘Scientific Society’ is to bridge the current prevalent gap between the industrial and educational sectors of Pakistan. It promotes the importance of student projects and encourages a shift towards entrepreneurship and science and technology for the development of society.
The objective of the cost and manufacturing event is to evaluate the teams understanding of the manufacturing processes and costs associated with the construction of a prototype race car.
The objective of the BPP is to evaluate the team’s ability to develop and deliver a comprehensive business model which demonstrates that their product – a prototype race car – could become a rewarding business opportunity.
The Chassis department includes the designing and fabrication of chassis which is the main skeleton of vehicle and integrates the other assemblies. It also includes the driver control devices which are used to control the vehicle and the aerodynamic devices which are used to enhance the performance of vehicle.
The objective of the powertrain is transforming kinetic energy into propulsion energy that can be delivered to the wheels. The electrical system helps to control the running and tuning of the car through data acquisition systems and engine harness, working simultaneously with the powertrain components in order to ensure smooth running of the vehicle.
The vehicle dynamics department includes the suspension, steering system and wheel assembly, sub-departments. This department is responsible for the dynamic state of the car during vehicle operation.
At the department of driverless vehicles, we aim our efforts for the research and manufacturing of completely autonomous vehicles in accordance with the rules of formula student.
The team aims to build the best car by building the best team. If you have what it takes to part of our dream, apply below.
